Meet Dr. Clint Long
Clint Long M.D. has provided complete, full-service eye care in the North Texas area as an ophthalmologist since July of 2001. Dr. Long has performed thousands of successful cataract & refractive surgeries . He also offers a full range of facial aesthetic services with the addition of the Mixto Fractionated CO2 Laser for facial resurfacing. Dr. Long has offered Botox to patients for the past 10 years giving them a smoother natural look.
Dr. Long is a native of Natchez, Mississippi who moved to Texas with his family in 1978. He is an honors graduate of L.V. Berkner High School in Richardson, Texas. His undergraduate education was completed at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He went on to train in medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. After receiving his Medical Doctorate from UT-Houston, he completed an internship at Scott & White Clinic in Temple, Texas. Dr. Long then trained at Scott & White Clinic in a 3 year Ophthalmology residency.
He completed his medical board examinations in 1998 and was licensed to practice medicine by the State of Texas. After completing his ophthalmology residency, he was Board Certified in Ophthalmology in 2002. Dr. Long also holds certifications in use of premium intraocular lenses for cataract surgery, LASIK and refractive surgery, and facial aesthetics using BOTOX and dermal fillers as well as the MIXCo2 Laser for skin resurfacing.
After completion of his training, Dr. Clint Long relocated to Sherman, Texas and joined the practice of Dr. John Brennan in July of 2001. Together, they formed the Texoma Eye Associate partnership in 2002 until Dr. Brennan’s retirement in 2006. The primary office has been located in Sherman with our recently opened satellite clinic in Prosper. Dr. Long renamed the practice Long Vision Center in 2007 when he moved to his present location on FM 1417 at Lamberth Road in Sherman, Texas.
Dr. Long, his wife Leah, and their two children reside in Sherman. In his spare time he loves to travel, do volunteer work, and spend time with his family.
